Mobile Home Inspections and Mobile Home Tie-Down Certifications Inspections
Closer Look Inspections does full mobile home inspections. A mobile home inspection is much like a standard home inspection in that it has all the elements of a standard-built home with some added areas of concern. A standard mobile home inspection includes the crawlspace below the home but does not include an Engineering Foundation Certification.
Closer Look provides an added service required by many lenders in order to get financing on a mobile home property. This additional service is to provide On-site Inspections and provide Engineering Foundation Certifications for the Mobile Home industry to ensure conformance to federal government regulations for mortgage lenders, loan officers, real estate agents, insurance agents, and home owners. If the manufacture (mobile) home foundation is in conformance with governing HUD/FHA, VA, and Conventional Lending standard, we will provide an Engineer’s Foundation Certification to ensure that loan guidelines are met. Closer Look Inspections has partnered with MFD Home Certification, a national engineering firm specializing in Mobile Home Foundations, to provide this certification service for our clients.
We specialize in Manufactured Home foundation certifications. We offer full turn-key on-site inspection and engineering certification services to our clients who desire exceptional value, quality, and professional services. We provide mobile home engineering foundation certificates involving:
- Mobile Home Foundation Certifications
- HUD/FHA Compliant permanent foundations
- VA Compliant permanent foundations
- Conventional loan permanent foundations
What is the engineer's certificate?
On VA & FHA-insured loans, the foundation on all manufactured must meet a certain criteria of structural stability and an Engineering Certification is required.
The engineer's certification specifies that the foundation complies with the HUD Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Homes (PFGMH - HUD 7584), a requirement for all FHA-insured loans.”
